Step in as the driving force behind a growing custom interior glass company serving the Dallas-Fort Worth market. This is a hands-in-the-trenches leadership position for someone who lives for field execution in the custom glass space—shower enclosures, frameless doors, mirrors, glass railings, and interior architectural features. You will spend the majority of your time on job sites and in the field: directing crews, solving problems as they happen, keeping projects moving, and building momentum for rapid scaling. Office-based or desk-heavy management from unrelated industries will not succeed here. Internal finance support handles P&L details so you can stay focused on daily results and team performance.
Primary Duties
- Directly coach and guide installers, fabricators, and field support staff in real time on active job sites to boost efficiency and eliminate delays.
- Take full ownership of project flow: resource scheduling, deadline management, cost control, and on-the-spot intervention to deliver every job successfully.
- Identify and replace outdated workflows with practical, field-tested improvements from quote through final walkthrough.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, suppliers, and local partners to generate repeat business and new opportunities.
- Monitor field-level budgets, key performance metrics, and margin drivers; partner with internal team on lean adjustments.
- Enforce rigorous standards for safety protocols, installation quality, and regulatory compliance on every project.
Required Background & Skills
- 5–10 years of progressive experience specifically in custom interior glass operations (shower doors, frameless hardware, mirrors, partitions, railings) — exterior window, storefront, or curtain-wall experience does not align with this role.
- Demonstrated success leading small crews of installers and fabricators in fast-moving, on-site environments with emphasis on execution speed and reliability.
- In-depth working knowledge of leading product lines and hardware.
- Comfortable jumping into the field daily to troubleshoot, coach, and keep projects on track (expect 70–80% time away from a desk).
- Excellent on-site communication to inspire crews, build trust with clients, and coordinate effectively with trade partners.
- Working knowledge of job-site tools, scheduling software, and standard office applications (Microsoft Office suite).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for daily local travel throughout the DFW area.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent real-world experience preferred.
- Strong preference for candidates already familiar with the DFW glass market, suppliers, subcontractors, and local permitting nuances.
Must successfully complete background check and drug screening.
