Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Service Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting ability. In this role, you will service, diagnose, and repair standby generators — primarily in residential settings (80%), along with some commercial (10%) and industrial (10%) work.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair generator systems and components (electrical & mechanical)
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on standby power equipment
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Respond to service calls and troubleshoot on-site issues
- Document work performed and maintain accurate service records
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
- Participate in on-call rotation (1 week per month for 24/7 emergency support)
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on service experience (mechanical/electrical preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot independently
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
- Familiarity working with electrical and mechanical systems
- Must have your own basic hand tools (annual $200 tool allowance provided)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Generator service experience a plus, but not required — willing to train the right person
